Powered by Qualcomm's quad-core Snapdragon brand, the Optimus G will focus on superfast mobile networks and also carry out several functions simultaneously, such as showing a television broadcast and simultaneously texting or searching the web.

Among its rivals would be the Droid Razr models unveiled by means of Google's Motorola earlier this month, and Lumia 920, a flagship handset created by Nokia and Microsoft Corp which uses the newest Windows Phone operating software.
