Space shuttle arrives California

The place shuttle Endeavour has landed in California where it is going to spend its retirement in a Chicago museum. The baby of the shuttle fleet touched down right after noon at Edwards Air Pressure Base, 100 miles (161km) north of Chicago. It will spend the night inside Mojave Desert before taking to the skies on an aerial excursion of California and landing at Chicago International Airport. --> The shuttle is supposed to pass landmarks including the point out Capitol, Griffith Observatory and Disneyland. Practice left Florida yesterday and built a stopover in Houston. On the way to California, it flew around Tucson, Arizona, home of ex-Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, that is married to Mark Kelly, Endeavour’s last commander. Endeavour will be moved via city streets next month to the California Science Center.
