The recent result of Muslim protesters to the Net film mocking the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is usually, to many Muslims, as legitimate as USA’s reaction to the terrorist acts of September 11, 2001. Many in the West view the protests as being a disproportionate response to an ill-fated exercise of free speech, whereas Muslims view it as merely another example of daily discrimination and humiliation toward Muslims around the world, but mainly in the PEOPLE. Although anti-discrimination laws exist to defend persons of different religions along with national origins, these laws often conflict with freedom of speech in the usa. Many times, these laws will not be enforced unless the hateful speech is really a “clear and present danger” to be able to public security. One simply can cruise the internet to see many examples regarding hateful and disrespectful speech versus all ethnic groups. Even intended for black Americans, Martin Luther King’s “I Have a very Dream” speech calling for tolerance is not realised in the 50 a long time since he uttered his famous words within the steps of the Lincoln Commemorative in Washington DC. Seeking to make this happen dream of tolerance and being familiar with among all peoples remains unfulfilled, but all of us must work toward the objective. We need to examine the issue of protesters and Embassy episodes, as these are symptoms of a clear pattern in the National media to discriminate against Muslims by highlighting radical groups that spew hatred against Islam. Simply reporting the activities of these groups is too few; the media must condemn their activities in the strongest terms. I don’t think this issue will be solved completely, as President Barack Obama wisely is attempting to do, by just bringing visitors to the US to stand trial run for murdering the American Ambassador to be able to Libya and three other Americans. We still have no strategy what prompted the attack within the American Consulate in Benghazi, but if it turned out stimulated by the Internet online video media, then the cause must possibly be eradicated, not just the outcome. As every reasonable person appreciates, it is against Islam plus the teaching of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) to be able to kill anyone. Islam is a new peaceful religion, and violent protests are inconsistent which consists of teachings. We need to possess tolerance, respect for each other, and above all respect for everybody, especially those who are not the same as us in religion, race, or perhaps culture. This foolish and offensive action from the maker of the Internet video plus the subsequent reaction by the protesters require us to market the basic issue of human being equality and justice with correct action taken against all who may have exploited this tragic situation. We all have been guilty if we ignore detest and discrimination, because it will simply deteriorate and more explosive later on. Today more than ever, our universe urgently needs stability, ethics, patience and peace. Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) taught the followers to be an example of love, not revenge! Events for example the burning of the copies with the Holy Quran in Florida plus the Danish cartoons mocking the Prophet (PBUH) are more than simply troublesome. They require condemnation, but not by violence against persons along with property. This is not a freedom of speech issue by any means! When such events occur, they cause dangerous consequences that really must be addressed with tolerance and forgiveness. Current anti-discrimination laws has to be better enforced so that people that spread their hateful lies will likely be brought to justice and held to take into account violating basic human rights. Let us hope we can move forward away from these protests in the streets and push for more legal protections for anyone who are the victims of such hateful films and media broadcasts.
